ANZ Winners Celebrated During interpack 2026

The global packaging community gathered at interpack for the 2026 WorldStar Awards, with several Australian and New Zealand winners attending the ceremony in Düsseldorf.

ANZ recipients recognised on the night included representatives from Bunzl ANZ Hospitality, Bunzl Australasia, Amcor, Koor, Flavour Makers and others, with industry leaders such as Chris Cester, Bryan McKay, Jean‑François Roiron, Kenzo Okamoto, Adrian Cester, Francisco Morcillo, Steve Gogos and Laura Delapeyronnie joining the celebrations.

A major highlight of the evening was the announcement of the WPO Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to Prof Pierre Pienaar, Education Director of the Australasian Institute of Packaging (AIP). The AIP nominated Pienaar for the honour in recognition of his long‑standing contribution to the Institute, the wider packaging industry and the global packaging community.

The award was accepted on his behalf, with colleagues noting the significance of the recognition and celebrating Pienaar’s impact on professionals across the world.
