Mondi are proud to share that they have been recognised with nine WorldStar Awards for packaging innovation in 2026. Most notably, a Mondi award winner was their HiProtex paper.  The re/cycle HiProtex Paper portfolio is an aluminium free, heat-sealable, high-barrier, fibre-based solution designed for superior protection and sustainability. Mondi’s High Protection Paper is one of the clearest examples of how far paper innovation has come. It blends sustainability, functionality, and brand experience in a way that challenges long‑held assumptions about what paper can do.

This paper delivers:

• Tailored oxygen and water vapour barriers
• A sunlight barrier
• PremiumSeal technology for enhanced sealing performance

These features make it suitable for demanding applications such as dry foods, confectionery, nutritional supplements, pet food, tea and home & personal care products. And crucially, it achieves all this without aluminium or PVDC, offering a recyclable alternative that still protects sensitive products.

As part of Mondi’s re/cycle portfolio, High Protection Paper is designed for recycling based on CEPI guidelines and contains more than 80% paper content. Depending on local infrastructure, it can be recycled in the paper stream or lightweight packaging stream.
