Constantia Flexibles’ Climate Targets Validated by SBTi

Constantia Flexibles has achieved a major sustainability milestone with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validating its updated climate goals. The packaging leader’s targets align with the 1.5°C pathway, reinforcing its commitment to climate action.

Key targets include:

• 50.4% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2032 (from a 2024 baseline)
• 30% reduction in Scope 3 emissions over the same period
• Net-Zero by 2050, with a 90% cut across all scopes and neutralization of residual emissions

In 2024, 79% of the company’s electricity came from renewable sources, and emissions from purchased electricity dropped over 60% since 2015.

Marc Rademacher, EVP of Consumer Commercial and Group R&D and Sustainability, emphasised, “Validation by SBTi is more than a recognition—it is a responsibility.”

To meet its goals, Constantia Flexibles is developing a climate roadmap focused on production efficiencies and supplier collaboration, particularly around materials like aluminum, films, and chemicals.
