Yogurt cups are often made from recyclable materials – but the label can be a problem. Many banderoles used on rigid containers don’t separate easily during recycling, making recycling harder than it should be. That can interfere with sorting processes and reduce the overall recyclability of the packaging. The WashOffBanderole, developed by Constantia Flexibles was created with this challenge in mind.

This banderole is designed to be washed-off during the cleaning in the recycling process. Thus, the rigid container can be fully recycled without contaminants such as inks.  It’s water-releasable under specific conditions, designed to detach during recycling, and supports industry Design-for-Recycling guidelines, all while running on existing packaging lines.
